The first day of the 2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Pal Arinsal, Andorra, saw rainbow jerseys awarded to Sofia Wiedenroth (GER) and Jérôme Gilloux (FRA) in E-mountain bike cross-country (E-MTB), before the USA took their first win in the cross-country team relay (XCR).
Combloux, Haute-Savoie, made its debut host appearance on the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series circuit on Friday, for the UCI Enduro World Cup. Today, it was the turn of the UCI E-enduro World Cup athletes who would be put through their paces in this challenging Alpine terrain in France.
It was a tale of two leaders in the third round of the UCI E-enduro World Cup in Saalfelden Leogang – Salzburgerland (Austria). Florencia Espiñeira (Orbea Fox Enduro Team) strengthened her advantage at the top of the women’s standings but a nightmare for Ryan Gilchrist (YETI / FOX Factory Racing) saw him surrender first position overall.
