Max Hartenstern is a top-tier German downhill mountain bike racer, currently riding for CUBE Factory Racing.
Initially a BMX racer, he transitioned to downhill in 2012 and quickly rose through the ranks. He became German national champion six times (2016–2020, 2022) and earned a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in 2017. After joining Cube’s professional team in 2017, he matured into a leading elite athlete. In 2021, he made history by securing second place at the UCI Downhill World Cup in Les Gets — the first podium by a German elite man since 1999. Over his career he has achieved four World Cup podiums and 11 international race wins. Widely respected for his consistency, technical skill and experience, Max remains a key figure in elite downhill racing and continues to push for top results in the World Cup circuit.
