Louise first discovered mountain biking after she finished school and from the first race she was hooked. Some friends took her to a university race, and the atmosphere was electric.
She gets inspired by everyone who shows up with a good attitude. It's not always easy to look at the big picture when you are having a tricky day, week or year. Lou often looks around before lining up at the start gate and feels like everyone has overcome some quiet struggles to get here and are ready to put it to one side and GST, she loves it. Off bike Lou loves Motorbikes, she loves the challenge of hard enduro and the incredible places it takes her. There is a small crossover of skills from Downhill but riding a much heavier bike is quite humbling. It's fun for her being a beginner and it kinda counts as DH training for her. Lou is actually pretty risk adverse which seems to contradict racing downhill and pushing to do Hardline but she likes to manage risks and despite feeling like it holds her back slightly racing; she has never broken a bone which means way more bike time which fills her cup.

After a quick turnaround from last weekend’s UCI Downhill World Cup in La Thuile – Valle d’Aosta (Italy), riders were back between the race tape in Pal Arinsal, Andorra for the final round before a six-week summer break.
Troy Brosnan (Canyon CLLCTV Factory) took a dramatic and heartfelt victory in the UCI Downhill World Cup men’s elite finale in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec (Canada) while Marine Cabirou (Scott Downhill Factory) saved her best until last in 2024 to win in Canada and claim second place in the women’s overall standings.
Eleonora Farina (MS Intense Racing) won her first-ever UCI Downhill World Cup with an excellent display of control and skill on a rain-soaked course at Haute-Savoie, Les Gets, France. Home favourite Amaury Pierron (Commencal/MUC-Off by Riding Addiction) proved a popular winner as he produced a masterclass to clinch a dominant victory in the men’s elite race.
