Megève, Haute-Savoie

In 2024, Megève and Combloux, two typical mountain villages, will be entering the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series calendar by hosting the first weekend of the Haute-Savoie Departement stage from 29 to 30 June.

These two villages, known for their ski areas in winter, also offer a magnificent playground for mountain biking in summer. For several years now, these two villages have been hosting the MB Race, a 100% mountain bike event renowned for its demanding but breathtaking races, with amazing landscapes and views over the Mont Blanc.

The MB Race is now one of the key events on the international mountain bike scene, promising an exceptional first weekend in Haute-Savoie!

UCI Marathon World Cup

In Megève, the UCI Marathon World Cup joins the famous MB Ultra Somfy on Saturday 29 June.

Since 2010, the event's flagship race has become legendary over the years, and is now considered to be the most difficult mountain bike race in the world, as it is the only one to feature a course with so many kilometres and so many elevation changes in a single day.

The race is divided into 3 distances: 70 km, 100 km and 140 km with respectively 3500m of D+, 5000 m of D+ and 7000m of D+. After a common start, the riders choose the distance over which they wish to challenge themselves during the race!

For the UCI Marathon World Cup, riders will be competing over the 100km distance with 5000m of D+. It's a demanding but magnificent race, with views of Mont Blanc almost the entire way!

The first difficulty of the race, a 16km climb with over 1200m of positive ascent, will take participants to a summit with a 360° panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif. Participants will cross the finish line in Megève, where they will then be able to enjoy the exhibitors' village, as well as entertainment throughout the weekend!
